SK Week 3 Match-Up: Olympic Benchwaremers vs. Mogul and Company

Yahoo Fantasy Basketball H2H 9-Cat 12 Team League

Week 3 Final Score: 5 - 4

Olympic Benchwarmers .486 .846 104 746 249 131 32 34 82

Mogul and Company .475 .873 103 840 206 158 44 22 95

Another close win with 1 3PTM giving me the bare minimum margin to claim a victory for the week. Two wins in a row is nothing to scoff at, even if it is only one point. The team is definitely taking shape with permanent roster spots being solidified. Although, I am starting to feel that my team building philosophy is reverting back to what I had in the previous seasons (efficiencies, 3PTM, and PTS) instead of the one that I had formulated around JT's strengths (FT%, Pts, Reb, Stl, & Blk). A win is a win. I will take it. Plus, I feel like Tatum has taken a new step in his game with his improved playmaking (up in assists) and a more aggressive scoring tendency (3PTM & PTS).

Maybe I should trade away Tyus Jones quickly. He is a fantastic AST guy but I am losing AST three weeks in a row. Apart from the 3PTM, it does seem that my team lacks identity. Chet's injury will do little to help me build BLK, so perhaps it might be a good idea to trade Jones for a bigman to improve the FG% and BLK. But this also contradicts with Tatum's improved AST numbers. Damn, I guess I dont have a clear picture yet.

It was a very weird week with the presidential elections making that there will be no games on the day, and a lot of teams playing the day before and after the election day. This resulted in over rosters and having to leave out players on the bench.

Notable Players:
- Jayson Tatum: A+. Oh, what a glorious pick he was. Never injured, fantastic output, what more can I ask of my ace. Take me to the Championship~~
- Jaren Jackson Jr.: A. A fantastic week from JJJ with Ja Morant being sidelined for a couple of games. In that aspect, expecting that Ja will inevitably miss games, JJJ is the perfect player to pick up the slack and produce 1st option type number on the team.
- Benedict Mathurin: A. Amazing efficiencies, great offensive output to wrap up the week! What a pick up from the waiver wire. I just love it when a player from the waiver performs so well. Honestly could not ask for more from someone from the wire.

Oopsies of the Week
- Jalen Suggs: C. There are players that have worse numbers compared to Suggs but Hawkins is injured and Tyus Jones was on the bench many times from the over roster. Not that Suggs has to produce 1st option level numbers but this is a significant dip from what he was producing. It might be asking a lot for Suggs to maintain those numbers but I just hope that he will get back to those highs more times than not.

Albas
- Tauren Prince: F.
Darvin Ham's favorite player. Maybe that is good enough reason not to use him. But he has always been that okay waiver player that gives some 3PTM. Didn't get much chance to use the waiver this week due to the odd scheduling but I might giving another chance. The sample size this week was too little.

Final Thought of the Week
- A lot of injuries have been popping up this season and the injury bug has finally got to me as well, with Chet out for 8 to 10 weeks. The little injuries and Out from Hawkins and Hunter was okay but Chet is quite concerning. Hopefully I can ride out the weeks smoothly enough to pull out narrow wins until he comes back.
- Second win of the season, putting me at 2-1. My position in the league is still out of the playoff places but it is still early in the season and decent string of wins will eventually put me in the top half and in contention. Lets Go, Benchwarmers!
